Help Sacred Heart and other churches save clothes, food, bedding and other material from being thrown away by dorm students. We will collect from three dorms at WSU, from April 25 to May 4. We will go once a day to pick up and bring the material to Sacred Heart. It will be sorted and distributed to agencies such as Boost, Pioneer Center, Family Promise and refugees. The office will contact one of our St. Francis Guild members. They will listen to your situation and help to the extent that they can, and/or connect you with other resources.

Over the past four years, Catholic Relief Services and our Caritas partners have reached more than 3.5 million people in Ukraine and 10 countries across the region. For hundreds of thousands of families, this support has meant warmth, sustenance, safety, dignity and care in the face of extreme hardship. It has helped 650,000 people access safe and dignified shelter or housing after their homes were damaged or destroyed. For others, it has provided the flexibility and relief that comes with cash assistance, which has allowed more than 200,000 people to pay rent, buy food, heat their homes or make much-needed repairs after damage caused by fighting.
These are not just numbers. They represent families who have been fed, children who have returned to learning and people who have found renewed energy for the unbreakable Ukrainian spirit.

CRS: Urgent Relief for Survival in Gaza
Gazan families are enduring catastrophic conditions as basic necessities for survival vanish. "The situation in Gaza and across the Middle East cries out for the assistance of the Catholic community of the United States," said Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.The Sacred Heart Caritas Committee approved a donation of $1,000 to Catholic Relief Services for their work in Gaza.
